Potions are the in-app currency for AI features. Each Sage chat message, quiz, summary, mindmap, flashcard set, or study guide costs 1 Potion. Viewing previously generated content is always free. Think of them as your AI energy for the month.

The videos and articles you learn from are free and always will be. CraftCourse does not own or host any of it. What you pay for is everything built around it: the AI that structures your personalized course, Sage that reads your lessons and coaches you, the quizzes, flashcards, mindmaps, and study guides generated on demand, and the XP system, streaks, leaderboard, and certificates that keep you accountable. There is also a psychological edge: people who invest in their learning, even a small amount, are statistically more likely to finish. The content is free. The system that makes you actually learn it is not.

Sage is your personal AI learning companion. Inside each lesson, it reads the actual video or article content and answers questions with full context. But Sage goes beyond lessons: it knows your learning path, your courses, your quiz scores, your XP level, and your goals, so it can coach you, adapt explanations to your level, and guide what to study next. Think of it as a tutor who has read everything you are learning and remembers your entire progress.

Every account starts on the free plan, no user cap, no time limit. You get 5 courses (AI-generated or manually built, any mix), 3 Learning Paths, and 50 lifetime Potions, enough to fully experience several courses end-to-end. Upgrade to Starter or Pro whenever you want more courses, more Potions, or unlimited course editing.

Yes. You can paste any YouTube URL, article link, or GitHub repo into a lesson. You can also search YouTube directly inside the app. CraftCourse organizes your learning path, but you pick what you learn from.

Starter ($6/mo) gives you 400 Potions per month, 10 courses a month, and 5 Learning Paths a month, plenty for a couple of skills at a time. Pro ($12/mo) gives you 1,000 Potions, unlimited courses, unlimited Quick Learns, and unlimited Learning Paths. If you're learning multiple skills at once or use Sage heavily, Pro is worth it.

Yes. Both Starter and Pro come with a 7-day free trial. You enter your card upfront but you are not charged until day 7. Cancel anytime before then and you will not be charged at all.

No, unused Potions reset monthly on paid plans. On the free plan, your 50 Potions never expire.

You can still access everything you have already generated: summaries, quizzes, flashcards, mindmaps, and past Sage conversations are always free to view. You just cannot trigger new AI actions until your Potions reset next month. On Starter that is 400 per month, on Pro 1,000.

ChatGPT is a generic chatbot with no idea what you are watching or where you are in your learning. Sage has full context: it reads the actual video or article you are on, knows your entire course structure, tracks your quiz scores, remembers your XP level and goals, and tailors every answer to where you are right now. It is a tutor, not a search engine.

Yes. Your courses, progress, XP, and achievements are yours permanently. If you cancel, you lose access to Pro features like unlimited course generation and monthly Potions, but everything you have already built stays in your account.

Yes. Cancel from your account settings at any time. You keep access until the end of your billing period.
