Terms of Use
Last updated: July 12, 2026
1. About CraftCourse
CraftCourse is an AI-powered personalized learning platform. These Terms govern your use of the website and all associated services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and agree to these Terms.
2. Your Account
CraftCourse uses Google and GitHub OAuth (via Supabase Auth) for sign-in. No passwords are stored on our servers. The information collected at sign-up is limited to what your OAuth provider shares: typically your name, email address, and profile picture.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must not share your account with others or use another person's account.
You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Deletion is permanent and removes all associated course data.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
- Upload or share content that is harmful, abusive, or discriminatory
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service
- Use automated tools to access the Service without prior written permission
- Resell or commercially exploit the Service without written consent
4. Content You Create
You retain ownership of any course content, notes, or materials you create on CraftCourse. By using the Service, you grant CraftCourse a limited, non-exclusive license to store and display your content for the purpose of providing the Service.
When you mark a course as public, you grant other users the right to view and enroll in it within the platform. You can change a course's visibility at any time from the course settings.
CraftCourse does not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for commercial purposes without your consent.
5. AI-Generated Content
CraftCourse uses AI language models to generate course outlines, summaries, quizzes, flashcards, mindmaps, and other educational content. AI-generated content is provided as-is and may not always be accurate, complete, or up to date.
You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of AI-generated content before relying on it for important decisions. CraftCourse is not liable for errors in AI-generated content.
AI features consume "Potions" (usage credits). Each plan includes a monthly or lifetime Potion allowance. Potions cannot be transferred, carried over, or refunded.
6. Plans and Access
CraftCourse offers the following access tiers:
- Free: every account starts here. Includes 30 lifetime Potions, 1 AI-generated course, 1 manual course, and 1 saved Learning Path, none of which reset over time.
- Starter: $6/month. Includes 300 Potions per month, 5 courses per month, 10 Quick Learns per month, unlimited course structure edits, and full Sage chat history.
- Pro: $12/month. Includes 1,000 Potions per month, unlimited AI and manual courses, unlimited Quick Learns, unlimited saved Learning Paths, and unlimited course structure edits.
- Teams: custom pricing per seat. Everything in Pro plus a team progress dashboard, assignable courses, and SSO. Contact hello@craftcourse.app for details.
All prices are in US Dollars (USD). Paid plans are billed via Stripe at the start of each billing period.
7. What Your Subscription Covers
Your subscription to CraftCourse pays for access to the platform experience, not for educational content. Specifically, your subscription covers:
- AI-powered features: course outline generation, Sage AI tutor, quizzes, summaries, mindmaps, flashcards, and study guides.
- Structured learning interface: course builder, module navigation, progress tracking, and lesson management tools.
- Gamification and engagement: XP system, streaks, achievements, leaderboard, and completion certificates.
- Infrastructure: hosting, data storage, AI model costs, and platform maintenance.
CraftCourse does not host, own, or sell educational content. Videos, articles, and other resources you add to your courses are sourced from third-party platforms (YouTube, blogs, GitHub, and others) and remain the property of their respective creators. We do not charge you for access to that content.
Some resources you learn from may be freely available online. The value of your subscription is the structure, accountability, and AI-enhanced learning experience built around that content, not the content itself. Paying for a structured learning environment is a well-established model used by platforms like Duolingo, Coursera, and others, where the delivery, tools, and engagement layer are the product.
8. Free Trial
Starter and Pro plans each include a 7-day free trial for first-time subscribers. No card is charged until the trial ends, and canceling during the trial never charges the card. The trial is available once per account per plan tier.
If you cancel a paid plan and later wish to re-subscribe, no free trial will be offered. Payment is required immediately at the time of re-subscription.
Trials are non-transferable and cannot be restarted under any circumstances.
9. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your profile billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until that date.
Because Starter and Pro subscriptions include a 7-day free trial before any charge occurs, CraftCourse does not offer refunds for charges after the trial period has ended. If you believe an error occurred with your billing, contact support@craftcourse.app and the situation will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
CraftCourse reserves the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
10. Intellectual Property
The CraftCourse platform, including its design, code, branding, and original content, is owned by CraftCourse and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without written permission.
Third-party content linked or embedded in courses (such as YouTube videos) remains the property of its respective owners. CraftCourse does not claim ownership of third-party content.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. CraftCourse does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.
Educational content on CraftCourse is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice. Results from using the Service vary and are not guaranteed.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CraftCourse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time. Registered users will be notified of material changes by email or via an in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
The date of the most recent revision is shown at the top of this page.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the country where CraftCourse is registered.
